Duette® Duolite™ Honeycomb Shades

Duette® Duolite™ Honeycomb Shades

Honeycomb shades (also called cellular blinds or shades) are one of the more popular window treatments used today in residential homes and businesses. With their honeycomb design, they offer great energy efficiency as well as sleek beauty. We invite you to visit our Window Products showroom in Branford to see and operate the new and improved Duette® Honeycomb Shade by Hunter Douglas.

Updates to Duette Honeycomb Shades

This year, Hunter Douglas has updated their Duette® honeycomb shade with a new headrail profile and finish, new hardware, and new fabrics. These updates give you a streamlined, clean appearance, with enhanced child and pet safety.

  • NEW Seamless Duolite™ Design – Duolite features two different fabrics for your single window opening. The top fabric panel will be sheer fabric that is fused together with a bottom fabric panel. The bottom panel may be semi-sheer, semi-opaque or opaque fabric. The Duolite feature offers a multitude of ways for you to manage your light and privacy needs
  • NEW Fabrics and Colors – The Duette honeycomb shade line has a total of 39 fabrics with over 420 colors. The new fabrics include Northwood, which has a rustic charm and clean, modern lines; Alexa, which has an organic feel; and a new exclusive Alustra® Duette® Architella® fabric called Jardin, which is created from textured yarns for that casual-chic look.
  • NEW Vertiglide™ Honeycomb Shade With PowerView™ – Vertiglide shades can be operated from side to side instead of up and down. They are ideal for glass sliding doors and large openings. New this year is the addition of PowerView Motorization. You can now use smart home technology to program or automatically adjust your Vertiglide with your remote or smart device.
  • NEW Honeycomb Shaped Headrail – The new headrail now reflects the honeycomb fabric shape, which allows the eye to follow the honeycomb design from the top of the shade to the bottom. Rails are textured and matte-finished and will color-coordinate with the shade fabric.

What are Eco-Friendly Window Treatments?

Eco Friendly Window CoveringsThere are several ways window treatments can be considered “eco-friendly” and help you reduce your carbon footprint. Think of windows as energy holes. Even with today’s sealed double-pane windows, closed windows still allow 10-15 times more heat energy to flow through them. So, if windows make up about 10% of a home’s insulated shell, that could mean up to half of your heating and cooling utility bill is flowing through your windows. At Window Products, serving Connecticut with showrooms in Branford and Southbury, we carry a variety of eco-friendly window coverings. [Read more…]
