With southern exposure, this family’s home received strong rays from the sun all day long. Their goal was to install an awning that would allow them to extend their living space with a table and chairs outside. We knew the right awing solution would help them enjoy their deck all summer long. Aesthetically, they wanted the awning mounted symmetrically above the doors, but inside the outdoor lights.
The Window Products Awning Solution
Carefully considering the family’s stylistic goals and functional needs, together we determined the best product suited to accomplish their wish list was a Durasol Elite Plus Motorized Retractable Awning – 15’ 103/4” w X 13’ 6” d. The SunShelter® Elite Plus is an adjustable retractable awning system with the ability to adjust your sun protection. They chose Sunbrella fabric in Black Forrest Fancy #4923. To further customize their awning, they added a protective aluminum hood cover with a European Valance, and a sand-colored frame.
