Even with the huge success of Silhouette®, there was still a need to provide a similar product, but with a more sophisticated drape-like look and feel. So, in 1996, Hunter Douglas introduced Pirouette® Window Shadings. Because of the revolutionary Invisi-Lift™ system, the horizontal soft fabric vanes look to be floating gracefully in the window, while providing precise control of the incoming light through the sheer backing. As with Silhouette, the fabric vanes roll up tidily into the fabric-covered headrail. However, with Pirouette® Window Shadings, homeowners could now have the option of an elegant, soft fabric alternative for their window coverings.
