The Pantone Color Institute, the leading expert on all things color, has set the stage for interior decorating this year with its new color of the year: PANTONE Greenery. Inspired by nature, Greenery is refreshing, revitalizing, and symbolic of the rejuvenation of spring. This reinvigorating color easily translates into home décor. How to Use Greenery in Your Home

Bring these trends into your home by using vibrant fabrics for pillows, drapery panels, top treatments and area rugs. Working perfectly with springtime, this latest trend is reminiscent of new growth as we go from dreary to full of life. Some colors that pair well with it include last year’s Colors of the Year duo, Serenity and Rose Quartz. Other colors it pairs with include shades of pink, earthy browns, and grays.

The selection process takes approximately nine months. The staff explores a variety of industries to collect what they refer to as “proof points.” They review the latest from the auto industry, designer runways, and interior decorating showcases. Once they identify the trends, they narrow down the choices.
